Antonio Pizzonia Antonio Pizzonia led the 2000 Championship from the very begining. He maintained the pace he showed in pre-season testing and delivered Manor Motorsport's second title in fine style. Never seriously challenged for the lead of the Championship, the young Brazilian dealt with threats from season long rivals Tomas Scheckter and Takuma Sato with consistent podium finishes and devastating pace.

Tomas Scheckter finished runner up in the 2000 Green Flag Formula Three Championship. The South African's season long battle with Pizzonia was played out at full throttle no matter what. Whether it was a test, qualifying or warm up Scheckter never missed an opportunity to pressure the Brazilian. Tomas Scheckter

Takuma Sato Takuma Sato starts the season as one of the leading contenders for this years title. Sato finished last season a close third in the Championship after becoming the first Japanese driver to win in British F3 since Hidekei Noda. The Carlin Motorsport driver has already signed a testing contract with Honda and the pressure is on.

Gary Paffett won the Scholarship Class for the Zip Kart Young Guns Team and with it the £125,000 prize fund in 2000. In a dominant performance in his Fred Goddard Racing run Dallara none of his rivals managed to beat him on pace, only beating him when a rare off occurred. Having just completed an impressive test for McLaren Mercedes it looks like another F3 graduate is Formula One bound. Gary Paffett
